Are you interested in learning what to do if you are Suddenly In Charge because your spouse or someone else that usually is in control of the vessel is unable to get the vessel back to the marina?
If so, you may consider taking our "Suddenly In Charge" seminar given by women for women in order to teach the basic seamanship skills and processes to manuever and operate a vessel at sea. Please contact our Web Manager if you are interested in attending this 8 hour informative seminar.
We have launched a Wear-it Campaign in the Clinton area in order to promote the use of PFDs. Please look for the signs at marinas, launching areas, and stop signs. We believe that they may increase the safety awareness of the local boaters. Please let us know what you think about this program! Special thanks go out to auxiliarists John Sullivan, Jim Terenzio, Bob MacSaveny, and many others for their efforts in the local Wear it PFD safety program.
Our next meetings are February 10th, March 10th, April 14th, May 12th, June 9th, July 14th, September 8th, October 13th, and November 10th 2010 at the Clinton Flotilla Base.
